Well Hello There!
I’m Jodi, a wedding singer based in Yorkshire.
I specialise in creating relaxed, emotional live music for wedding ceremonies and drinks receptions, helping couples set the tone for the most meaningful parts of their day.
Music has always been a huge part of my life, and there’s nothing more special than being trusted to be part of such an important moment. My style is warm, natural, and easy to listen to, perfect for creating a beautiful atmosphere without ever overpowering your day.
About Me
I’m an eclectically soulful singer and songwriter from Sheffield, UK, performing professionally as Just Jodi.
For me, music is all about connection, creating moments that feel genuine, emotional, and completely personal.
Whether it’s a quiet, intimate aisle walk or a relaxed drinks reception filled with conversation and laughter, I always aim to bring a calm and thoughtful presence to every wedding I’m part of.
My Sound
I’m often described as a blend of Joss Stone, India Arie and Tracy Chapman combining soulful depth with a distinctive tone that’s hard to define, in the best way.
My music has been described as:
“Her songs find beauty in the mundane and transmit it perfectly to the listener with the endearing skill and charisma of a true raconteur.”
— James Tait
Musical Background & Training
I’m not only a vocalist but also a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar and hand percussion instruments including the cajón and toca drum.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Performing Arts, which has given me a strong foundation in performance, stage presence, and musical expression.
Over the years, I’ve developed a versatile style that allows me to adapt effortlessly to different moments, from soft, emotional ceremony songs to relaxed, feel-good acoustic sets.
Experience & Career Highlights
I began my music career as a cajón player and backing vocalist in a Sheffield-based acoustic folk band.
During that time, we became grand finalists in Live & Unsigned at the O2 Arena, performed across a wide range of venues throughout Sheffield, featured on Sheffield Live Radio and in local press.
Since then, I’ve performed as a solo artist at events including performances in Leicester Square, Radio features on Sheffield Live 93.2FM and BBC Radio Sheffield Introducing.
Beyond Music
When I’m not performing, I work in an alternative provision school, supporting teenagers who have been excluded from mainstream education and helping them find a new chance at life.
Alongside this, I also teach singing at Stagecoach Performing Arts, working with young performers to build confidence, develop their voices, and grow their love for music.
These roles are incredibly important to me, I’m passionate about helping people grow in confidence, express themselves creatively, and believe in their abilities.
Alongside two fellow musicians, I’ve also co-run a music academy for young people aged 13–21, helping them develop skills in vocal performance, songwriting, recording, production and stage presence.
Creativity and connection are at the heart of everything I do, both on and off the stage.
